"The Sandhills area of North Carolina is blessed with a great climate that provides year-round playing opportunities," says Mike Floyd, executive director of the Sandhills Golf Association. "When you combine ideal weather with outstanding golf courses and southern hospitality, you create one of the country's favorite golf destinations." In fact, Golf Digest ranked the Sandhills area as one of the "Top three Greatest Golf Destinations In The World," along with St. Andrews and California's Monterey Peninsula, and as the "Number One Golf Destination on the East Coast." A panel of the magazine's readers also cited the area as having the "World's Best Quality of Golf." One of the Sandhills Golf Association's specialties is helping golfers plan and book custom vacations quickly and easily. Golfers can submit an online request at www.sandhillsgolf.com, and receive a detailed quote within 24 hours. Assistance is also available by calling toll-free 888/926-GOLF. Packages include accommodations, guaranteed tee times with carts and complimentary breakfasts. The area is easily accessible by air into Charlotte, Greensboro or Raleigh, and is within a day's drive of virtually the entire eastern United States. "Spring is a beautiful time to visit the Sandhills, especially April and May when many parts of the country are still experiencing winter weather that rules out golf," Floyd points out. "Here you'll find everything in full bloom and the golf courses in excellent condition." The free golf guide can be requested by visiting their website or calling toll-free 888/926-4653.

These Special Air Services utilize private aircraft and helicopter transportation to effectively combine with their fleet of VIP Golf Coaches in maximizing valuable time and especially when visiting courses not otherwise easily accessible. The helicopters and private aircraft may be used continuously throughout a schedule but recommended for use on a selective basis. On what would normally be a traveling day across the country or to Ireland, it is possible to leave your hotel in the morning, effortlessly play a championship course en route or at a remote location, and be at your next hotel by dinner, where your VIP coach will be waiting.
"In our view it is not a simple air charter from Point A to Point B," commented Gordon Dalgleish, President of PerryGolf. "As with all the programs and services we deliver, we like to make sure your experience is as seamless as possible, that your day is special and memorable for a lifetime, and we will work with the helicopter or aircraft operator to make sure all of the little details are attended to, allowing you to focus on your golf and leave you worry free." PerryGolf works closely with PDG Helicopters in Scotland and Links Helicopters in Ireland, each recognized for their high degree of professionalism and indepth knowledge of helicopter operations in these countries. Both operate modern equipment, all with forward facing seats, affording you an outstanding view as you witness the spectacular scenery. For longer journeys a Jetstream 31 turboprop aircraft is recommended, provided in a VIP eight-passenger configuration (a Jetstream 31 normally accommodates 19 passenger). It is the perfect aircraft for around the British Isles, and is ideal to use on a traveling day if you are combining Ireland and Scotland, ensuring your travel time is minimized. Helicopter Itinerary

The PerryGolf VIP Golf Coach, first introduced in 1998, sets the standard for small group transportation. They have taken a Mercedes motorcoach chassis which would normally accommodate fully 20 passengers, and created a luxurious atmosphere for just 8 golfers. It begins with spacious leather armchairs, each with its own armrests and facing a table. To complement the restful decor you can play music if you wish (radio, tape and 10 stack CD autochanger) or run a video. The vehicles are fully air-conditioned, and a "cool box" is stocked with cold drinks for your consumption. A personal Concierge Driver will be with you throughout your stay. In addition to driving you safely, he will take care of your golf equipment, assist you on arrival at hotels and golf courses, make dinner reservations and sightseeing suggestions, and generally make your stay as worry free as possible. Your clubs are also well taken care of, with a rear luggage compartment having been specifically designed for easy access to luggage and golf clubs. For the enjoyment of all guests, these vehicles -- like all in our coach fleet -- are nonsmoking vehicles.
