Recently we went to see the Los Angeles premiere of this very dramatic play written in 1984 by Maria Irene Fornes. It was premiered by The Open Fist Theater Company at a funky little theater on La Brea, a mere stone's throw from Hollywood Boulevard, in the heart of the always happening Hollywood, California.

Trimuph Of Love - The setting for this Marivaux play was the 40+ seat theater overlooking one of the outdoor courtyards at the Hollyhock House, the first Los Angeles home designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright between 1919 and 1921. The original intent, finally coming to fruition after 82 years, was for this house to be part of an innovative theatrical community blending cultural and architectural history for all residents of Los Angeles to enjoy.

MacHomer Meets MacBeth - Yes, nearly each of the 50+ characters from The Simpsons cartoon has been incorporated into an amazing one-man theatrical rendition of Shakespeare's MacBeth. Of course, MacBeth is played by no other than the loveable Homer J. Simpson, and Lady MacBeth is Marge Simpson. Believe it or not, but MacHomer is still 85% true to William Shakespeare's original work.

In the intimate Ahmanson Auditorium at MOCA, having approximately 160 seats, mostly filled with an eclectic, artsy crowd of thirty-somethings, we were privileged to experience this special engagement of this amazing theatrical production starring John Crowther.

The Ancient Art of . . . ? - Always looking to live life on the edge, I suggested to my wife that we go see a theatrical production. You know, real snooty, upper crust culture. She happily agreed, and we were soon off to the Coronet Theater in Los Angeles to catch one of their last performances of "Puppetry of the Penis"

Quidam, NOT Just Another Act - I was stunned to silence. While 2,600 other spectators around me erupted into whistles and thunderous applause, I found myself searching my lap for my jaw. There is no way that the spectacle I had just seen was possible. There was no way that the wiry duo onstage (Jerome Le Baut and Asa Kubiak, to be precise) could have accomplished the feats of strength and balance I had just witnesses without defying gravity.

Euphoria is a state of bliss that is beyond happiness that can not be explained in words, thoughts, or action.  After participating in the performance of the theatrical show and concert from the Blue Man Group at the Venetian Resort and Casino in Las Vegas , I was in a  state of ecstatic Bluephoria, which is euphoria encountering drums, music, comedy, singing, and humor.

The show engages a series of epic challenges that these young royals must endure in order to reunite.

This stirring experience resuscitated my spirit and quenched my imagination’s thirst for divine beauty.  It is an aquatic tapestry of surreal romantic theatre inspired by the elegance of water’s pure form.  The images, performers, sounds, sets, costumes, lighting, and makeup submerged my senses into an innovative and breathtaking master piece that shown with illusory splendors.

Mysterious Mystere at The Treasure Island Hotel Casino - From the minute I took my seat, the pre-show comedic mimicry of Brian Le Petit, the tuxedo dressed clown, alerted me to expect the unexpected.  His slightly dangerous antics, irreverent decorum and comedic timing made the arriving audience take their seats and immediately pay attention. When the house lights dimmed and the show began, I could feel my imagination being stretched beyond recognition. This is by far one of the best Vegas shows that this city offers.

Zumanity - The Senual Side of Cirque du Soleil - There is a new live adult's only entertainment head turner at the New York New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. You be the judge of what is nouveau entertainment in the City of Sin!

Midnight Fantasy in Luxor - No, not that Luxor, but the one in Vegas. Catch a traditional Vegas revue at the pyramids, it will make all those midnight fantasies come true.
