Armada ARG (La Gorda) Skis 2008

You can now surf the mountain with the Armada ARG skis. Last season a very limited number of ARGs hit the stores and sold out within weeks. On the mountain, they forever changed how their lucky owners skied deep snow. The Armada ARG remains a limited-production model for the 2007/2008 ski season. Its patent-pending design stands alone among a plethora of reverse-camber, reverse-sidecut skis hitting the market. A surfboard-inspired rocker and slight sidecut under foot allow this ski to cruise over powder, while allowing you to make it back to the lift on the groomers. The ARG gets a few improvements for this year. Armada made it faster with our 50/50 base. The Armada ARG also remains super light weight with an improved all-wood Ultra Light Core and 1.7 Edge.

Armada ARW Skis 2008 - Grete Eliassen took gold last year against the best women in skiing at ESPN’s Winter X Games. Then she took her vision and made the Armada ARW Ski - a women’s-specific park performance ski. Grete’s idea is essentially the AR6 with a women’s touch. She started off by trimming some weight with reduced dimensions and a thinner version of Armada’s all-wood AR Core 2. She gave the ARW yoga-like flex with Carbon Fiber Stringers, Sandwich Fiberglass Laminates and specific Flex Profiling. The 2.5 Impact Edge and Seven Series Base makes the Armada ARW tough on the surface, but soft on the inside.
