Pamlico and Neuse Rivers (Oriental to Belhaven) Referred to as North Carolina's best kept recreational secrets, these fertile environments are home to countless species of wildlife and large numbers of both resident and migratory gamefish. Cape Hatteras (Ocracoke Inlet to Avon) Incredible offshore action. Inshore, find red drum, bluefish, cobia, striped bass, Spanish mackerel and king mackerel. Oregon Inlet (Salvo to Kill Devil Hills) Oregon Inlet and Manns Harbor are famous for wintertime runs of large striped bass. Many other other species inhabit the region by season. Albemarle Sound Central (Includes North, Pasquotank, Little, Alligator rivers) A unique blend of fresh and brackish water provides a great selection of fish.
