PRISONER OF PARADISE

Summary: Prisoner of Paradise tells the startling true story of Kurt Gerron, a much-beloved German-Jewish actor, director and cabaret star in Berlin in the 1920's and '30's. Day and date release with the April 13 PBS premiere broadcast, this film was a 2003 Academy Award-nominee for Best Documentary Feature. It is narrated by Ian Holm and directed by Emmy and Academy Award winners Malcom Clarke and Stuart Sender.

Among Gerron’s greatest accomplishments, he co-starred with the legendary Marlene Dietrich in the film classic The Blue Angel. Ultimately, he was captured and sent to a concentration camp, where he was ordered to write and direct a pro-Nazi propaganda film. PRISONER OF PARADISE follows Kurt Gerron's career and remarkable odyssey, offering a unique prospective on this extraordinary period.

Summary: In their second big screen adventure, the year is 2373 and the crew of the Enterprise-E has learned the Borg has returned. Because of Captain Picard's past experiences with the Borg, Starfleet has ordered the Enterprise to stay out of the fight. Realizing too much is at stake, Picard disobeys orders and takes the Enterprise to Earth. His knowledge of Borg technology leads the Federation fleet to victory, but a Borg sphere escapes and opens a temporal vortex. The Enterprise pursues and travels back to April 4, 2063; the day before the first warp flight.

Unable to escape, her situation becomes desperate when the emergency alarm attracts a drunken derelict (James Caan) and his boozy prostitute friend, both bent on robbery.
