Great Lakes Sonnig Cruise - The Great Lakes were formed ten thousand years ago by retreating glaciers. The sweet water seas of the Great Lakes are one of the newest, yet also one of the oldest cruise destinations in the world. Seven night cruises started here over a century ago with palatial ships such as the "North Land ” and "North West”, and today cruisers are only now rediscovering the beauty and excitement of the region.

Ecstasy at Sea - A Carnival Sails To Ensenada - For the first-time cruiser, Carnival's Ecstasy provides a full-scale introduction to the cruise vacation lifestyle so popular with travelers. From quizzes, game shows, bingo, casino gambling, musical dance shows, art auctions, ship tours, slot tournaments, spa services, fitness classes, disco dancing, karaoke, pub crawl and other events, there's non-stop entertainment. I decide I want a massage on Sunday, our day at sea. Good thing I checked it out before the ship sailed; Sunday massage time is nearly sold out, so I book for 8 a.m. Sunday morning.

Cruise The WorldThe Ghosts and Legends of The Queen Mary - The Queen Mary is more than a museum or keepsake for an entire war generation. She is also today a fine dining experience and a wonderful 365-stateroom hotel. You can voyage from the past to the present in the museums, but the real artifacts are the staterooms made up exactly as they were during the Queen's magnificent heyday.

Cruising Alaska's Midnight Sun Fjords - There are eight adventure cruise ships in the CruiseWest fleet, with the Spirit of Glacier Bay the smallest. Built in 1971, it cruises Prince William Sound in summer, moving to the Columbia River for seven weeks of Fall river cruising, including a jetboat ride up the Snake River, before dry-docked for the winter.

Cruising Historic River Roads - Jet Boating Hell - Along the Lewis and Clark CruiseWest journey, you'll hear naturalists relate stories about the first settlers, the Indians who inhabited the territory, and the d
evelopers arriving later into this great countryside.

Captain Cook Reef Escape in Fiji - I was aboard the MV Reef Escape, which is a 68-meter flat bottom passenger ship. Captain Cook Cruises’ fleet offers several different voyages to explore the Fijian islands.  For myself, I chose the seven-night, “Northern Fiji Dateline Cruise”;  it seemed to offer a bit of everything for my first time visiting Fiji. FIJI
